Fowler’s “Drive-By Still Lifes” explore the tension between the beauty of creation and the priorities of man. The inspiration for these works came from a long road trip from Virginia to Indiana. As her husband drove, she took photographs out of the car window and was drawn to the miles and miles of power lines, towers, and pylons stretched across the landscape. Her artwork was forever changed because of this experience, and continues to evolve as more and more photos are taken.
